Bushcare meeting for training December 10th 9:30am
Dear volunteers interested in bushcare for Bidjigal Reserve,
In order to provide you with appropriate training and supervision the Trust has engaged Hills Bushcare to work with volunteers while also dealing with particular weeds in the reserve.
The first stage of this training program will take place on Saturday morning, 10th December, at 9:30am.
Volunteers are invited to meet with Hills Bushcare trainer Frank Gasparre at the fire trail at the end of Range Road West Pennant Hills.
Following a short walk and talk about bushcare and the particular site behind homes in Westmore Drive and Virginia place, some morning tea will be provided by the Trust.
After this there will be an hour or so of practical weed work.
This session is designed as a meet and greet introductory session.
More formalised training will be offered in early 2012, and it is hoped that all Bidjigal Reserve bushcare volunteers will take advantage of this in order to refresh or begin their bushcare skills.
To assist with our planning could you please let me know if you can or cannot attend on Saturday December 10 (for any amount of time)?
Volunteers who are already trained are most welcome to attend and meet those new to bushcare.
Please also indicate if possible what your likely availability for a bushcare training session (4-6 hours) would be in January or February.
